Relevant services Core services: Regular Monitoring and Assessment of the program was held by PDS teams to assess Institutional Literacy Programs effectiveness provided during Basic Warrior Training for Afghan National Army (ANA) recruits and Initial Police Training for Afghan National Police (ANP) recruits. ANA’s institutional literacy training occurred at Kabul Military Training Center, Darulaman Literacy Center and various Regional Military Training Centers. While ANP’s institutional literacy training occurred at National Police Training Center Wardak and various Regional Police Training Centers.
Capabilities demonstrated PDS administered, supported, and oversighted “Inspections” referred to the observation, assessment, and documentation of training at a single training site/facility; the total of which was presently 504 in Afghanistan. Inspections conducted at locations where

more than one class was in-sessions required a minimum of a 20% sampling of classes.

PDS used mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative)

Brief description of the project, key deliverables and outcome NTM-A tasked PDS to provide compliance oversight. The objective of this contract  was to provide G7 Literacy and Language Division compliance oversight on all literacy training programs it funded at approximately 504 locations throughout Afghanistan.
