The Priority Development Strategic (PDS) as consultant/ subcontractor with the IRD has conducted baseline surveys study on control and treatment villages to determine community participation and perception regarding community involvement in the monitoring of 200 canals projects. |

Brief description of the project, key deliverables and outcome | Priority Development Strategic (PDS) was tasked by the IRD and conducted surveys study on control and treatment villages to determine community participation and perception regarding community involvement in the monitoring of 200 canals projects.
For the irrigation Restoration and Priority Development Strategic (PDS) provided qualitative assurance inspections and in addition trained 200 community monitors. The monitors conduct basic qualitative assurance for ongoing canal projects taking into consideration the World Banks’ Environmental Social Monitoring framework requirements. These Surveys also focused on % increase in agricultural productions in 9 provinces as a result of construction of canals. |
